In May, PowerGen International 2022 kicked off in Dallas, Texas, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, just a hop, skip and a jump up IH-35 from our San Antonio manufacturing facility.
This was our second in-person event since the onset of the COVID-19 health and safety restrictions, so our team, needless to say, was more than a little excited to get out of town for the week, explore the great Dallas-DFW metroplex, and of course, man our booth on the convention floor. This year we were happy to see a lot of familiar faces and hang out with a few of our long-time customers. We also had great conversations with some folks we haven’t yet had a chance to work with, and really enjoyed sharing with them the Team OCTI story. While this year’s event was a bit smaller than previous years, it really allowed us time to have more in-depth conversations with customers, peers and vendors alike. Some highlights for our team included meeting our friends at Isuzu Motors, Siemens Energy, Pinnacle Power, E.I Williams, Baseline Energy Services and others. Our biggest takeaway from PowerGen 2022 was seeing our custom insulation jackets displayed on our customers’ equipment and meeting for the first time face-to-face with new and potential customers and their engineers, who we are always excited to work with as the driving force behind the development of new equipment.
Both new and old friends, however, were the first to see our newly launched branding. In the past two years we’ve updated our logo, branding materials and launched a new, more robust website, and it was exciting to finally get to share that with the world. Check out our announcement here.
Our booth showcased our new and improved Metal Encapsulated insulation product line, and acoustic panels along with our newest insulation blankets with built-in heat trace. The interest we saw from the attendees was encouraging to see and confirmed that we clearly heard and addressed the needs of the PowerGen industry.
